As part of Volvo’s ongoing Made by Sweden platform, Made by People turned the camera towards those who make Volvo what it is: the people. Made by Sweden was never about geography, it was about values that define both Sweden and Volvo – openness, equality and collaboration. With Made by People, Volvo’s narrative got even more depth.

This chapter brought that idea to life from the inside out. Created to celebrate the employees behind a record-breaking year, the campaign highlighted the diverse group of minds and hands that build every Volvo.

Launched in early 2016, as headlines were filled with stories of division and migration, the film carried a quiet but powerful message: things get better when we build together. By showing the real people behind the cars, Volvo didn’t just strengthen internal pride – it stood up for diversity, proving that our differences don’t just inspire creativity. It builds better cars.
